Amazing Honey Skincare

I’m willing to be that most people have a jar of honey in their pantry. In the south, many people use honey alongside butter as a topping for fluffy, warm biscuits. I can’t argue with that!

A lot of people know that honey can also soothe a sore throat. In fact, I keep a jar of unprocessed honey from a local apiary for just this occasion. I usually take a tablespoon full of honey, turn it upside down, and place it on the back of my tongue. As it runs down your throat, it will soothe and coat it. Next time you have a sore throat, try it out!

Honey can do so much more, though! I’ve compiled a list of five honey-based products that can do amazing things!

1. New Zealand Would Honey, 2.8 oz., $13.96

Manuka Honey has been used since ancient times to treat wounds. The honey is produced by bees that pollinate the manuka bush, more commonly known as the tea tree bush. If you haven’t read my article about the awesomeness of tea tree, here’s a link – My Secret Weapon

It wasn’t until the 19th century that scientist discovered why Manuka Honey was so effective in treating wounds. The honey is a natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal product. To quote WebMD, “Honey protects against damage caused by bacteria. Some honey also stimulates the production of special cells that can repair tissue damaged by infection”.

I’m not joking when I say this should be in everyone’s first aid kits. It is especially useful for those who have diabetes. This product is 100% natural and will work to heal skin infections, cuts, scratches, burns, acne, and rosacea! As a bonus, it also diminishes the appearance of scars! Wow!

2. Beessential Lemon Lavender Lip Balm, 0.15 oz. tube, $3.29

Lavender Beessential Lip Balm

Want to use the best lip balm in the world? Total Beauty has consistently voted this lip balm as the #1 Best Lip Balm. Not only does the lip balm soften and moisturize dry lips, but it’s also packed full of antioxidants. This product is 100% natural and uses essential oils and beeswax to help replenish your lips’ natural moisture barrier. The product is anti-aging and long-lasting thanks to the inclusion of vitamin E and beeswax. Move over Burt’s Bee’s Wax!

If Lemon Lavender isn’t your flavor, the lip balm is also available in Orage Ginger, Honey, Peppermint, Rose & Mint, and Coconut Lime! I would also suggest getting a 2-pack because the price is only $5.90. Jackpot!

3. Honey Guy Products Waterblocker Skin Cream, 4 oz, $13.00

Honey Guy Waterblocker

I LOVE this product! My family will tell you I’m a germaphobe. I believe that I am actively trying to prevent myself from catching the latest virus or bacterial infection. Either way, if you wash your hands frequently or suffer from dry, cracked, or itchy skin, this is the product for you! The cream is also useful in relieving eczema and psoriasis!

Waterblocker Skin Cream can be used to prevent blistering, rashes caused by friction (such as diaper rash), as well as a deodorant. You can even use it on pets to treat hot spots as it stops itching and scratching, and promotes rapid healing.

Most users find that Waterblocker Skin Cream lasts for 8 hours! Remember to use only a minimal amount as the product is highly concentrated. There isn’t much that this cream can’t do! This product has an unconditional guarantee from its producer. That means that if you aren’t fully satisfied, you can return the remainder of the unused product for a full refund that includes the cost of shipping and handling!

Face Application: Spread a pencil eraser sized amount of cream over the face, allow 3 minutes to absorb fully. The product will act as a barrier to seal in moisture, block harmful environmental pollution, and prevent chapping of the skin. I know some fishermen that this would help!

Hand Application: Using a pencil eraser sized amount, massage into the hands. Allow cream to absorb for 3 minutes. Go!

Skin Application: Before applying the product to treat dry, cracked, or itchy skin, wash and dry area thoroughly. Spread a thin layer over the affected area. Allow 3 minutes for the cream to absorb. Apply morning an night, until healed. You can also use this method to prevent chaffing and blistering.

Deodorant Application: Before applying the product, wash and dry underarms thoroughly. Apply half a pencil eraser sized amount of cream under each arm. Thoroughly massage the cream into the skin. Allow 3 minutes for the cream to absorb. This cream works by creating a barrier against odor-causing bacteria. It can also be used to treat and prevent foot odor.

Dog Application: Before applying the product, gently wash and dry hot spot. Apply a thin layer over the troubled area. Allow the cream to dry for 3 minutes (this includes preventing licking by your pet). Once the cream has dried, allow your pet to play as usual.

4. Beessential Handmade Lavender Soap with Honey,
.5 oz. bar, $5.99

Beessential Soap
This award-winning soap was rated a 9.8 by Total Beauty. Many customers state that this is more like a beauty bar for the entire body! This cleanser is hydrating, skin-soothing, and gentle. I can’t use heavily fragranced products, however, this product proved to be quite mildly fragranced. It relieves dry, itchy skin, and the burning associated with a rash. The soap contains coconut oil, olive oil, palm oil, avocado oil, shea butter, lavender, honey, and beeswax. This combination of ingredients creates an extremely nourishing cleanser! Your skin will be so soft after using this!

The Beessential Handmade Soap also comes in the following varieties, Dead Sea Mud Soap, Honey & Oat, Tea Tree Oil, Yogurt & Honey, Gardeners & Mechanic’s, Totally Hip Hemp & Lemongrass. I love the Dead Sea Mud Soap as a facial cleanser. I never though mud could be so healing and moisturizing!

5. Honey Guy Beeswax Bandage, 4 oz., $17.00

Beeswax Bandage
I’m reasonably confident that my skin is allergic to, or perhaps too fragile for heavy-duty band-aid use. In fact, upon removal, a layer of skin usually tears off along with the bandage. If I’m lucky, I only get a painful rash where the adhesive areas were. Not anymore, though! This heavy-duty cream stops the bleeding and seals off cuts and scrapes! This product is very gentle in comparison with regular bandages! Beeswax Bandage is waterproof, so you don’t have to worry about it getting soggy or falling off when it comes in contact with water.

It is terrific for people that have fragile skin, take blood-thinners, or frequently undergo bloodwork! I also suffer from a condition called angular cheilitis in which the corners of my mouth tear. If you’ve ever experienced this, you know how painful it can be! Beeswax Bandage works quickly to heal this condition. I recommend keeping pocket-sized amount with you for unexpected events!

Application: Apply a thick band of Beeswax Bandage over the injured area. The cream with instantly stop bleeding and allow natural blood coagulation.

The natural products have harnessed the abilities of honey. Even if you don’t suffer from any of the issues or ailments listed above, I know that you know someone that these products can help. Feel free to share this article with them!
