Is it just me, or is anyone else wondering how we’re twelve days into February? The older I get, the quicker time passes. Strange, isn’t it? I think that’s just another reason why we should spend as much time as possible with family and friends. “Stuff” is not the important thing in life but using good products will make life easier!
I’m all about that! I pondered over which products I wanted to feature this week. Remember, all of the products in my Weekly Top 5 aren’t things that are just ok. These are all excellent products! So after much deliberation, I bring to you the Weekly Top 5!
1. Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub, 2 oz., $32.50
Are you looking for a face scrub that will leave your face feeling as soft as baby skin? Perhaps, softer? Look no further! Derma E uses a blend of fine blend of crystals, including Dead Sea Salt, to create this scrub. Derma E states that the scrub helps to buff away dull surface cells, diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars, and absorb excess skin oils.
I have had clinical facial/neck microdermabrasion before, and I can only state that it is not a pleasant experience. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t that! It felt like my face was being scrubbed off (the top layer of skin cells actually were removed), and let’s not even talk about my neck! To me, this is a much better option. Not only can you complete the scrub in your own home, but it’s not painful!
If you are a frequent blog reader (thank you), you know that I have very sensitive skin. The scrub did not irritate my skin at all! I found that not only was my skin incredibly soft, but my face was radiant for the next several days! As this is a powerful facial scrub, I recommend using it once a week.
2. Laura Geller Baked Body Frosting with Body Puff – Tahitian Glow, 0.85 oz., $45
The Baked Body Frosting is the best bronzer I have ever used. I would put it up against all others. Tahitian glow has a golden undertone that won’t leave you looking like you rolled in a bag of orange Cheeto dust. Those of us with fair to light complexions have all been there!
This product can do so much more than bronze, though. You can use it to achieve a faux tan all over your body. It can be applied dry or wet (for added intensity). I have also used the Baked Body Frosting as a gorgeous eyeshadow trio as it is made up of tan, cream, and pearly pink. You may think that it has a high price, but I’ve had my product for six years now! I’m almost ashamed to tell you that. Perhaps it’s time to get a new one?
3. Integrative Therapeutics Super Immuno-Tone, 60 Capsules, $26.50
Need some help with your overall immune function? Want to avoid getting sick? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you need to check out Super Immuno-Tone! I first heard about this supplement from one of my doctors. Both he and I are very interested in using herbs and plants to support our bodies. He told me that everyone in his office was taking this supplement. When I asked the nurses, they couldn’t stop raving. They informed me that their whole family was taking the supplement.
I’m usually a skeptic until I try something for myself, especially a supplement or medicine. I make sure to check the ingredients list, manufacturer information, and research any possible interactions before taking a supplement. The ingredient list includes vitamins, a mineral, plants, and herbs. I can honestly say that I’ve been taking this product for about two months now, and in that time span, it has kept me from getting sick three times!
I take one pill each day, and if I feel like I am getting sick, I take another pill. One night, I just knew I would be sick. My throat was sore, I had a fever, and my lymph nodes were swollen. The next morning, after taking the extra pill, I woke up feeling fine. I might chalk it up to a coincidence if it was just one time, but three times? There’s no mistaking that this supplement works!
4. L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil, 8.4 fl. oz., $25.00
If you haven’t tried this Almond Shower Oil, you need to order some right now! You may think that oil could not possibly cleanse the body. That would be incorrect. This oil reacts with water to form a soft foam that gently cleanses the skin. I love to use it in the winter time because it leaves my skin moisturized instead of dry. I’m also not a huge fan of body lotion, so this makes my life somewhat simpler.
I don’t just use it as a body wash, either. This oil is excellent for shaving. The oil softens hair and lubricates the skin, preventing razor burn. I enjoy the almond scent, however, if you don’t enjoy it just know that it fades very quickly. What are you waiting for? Get some!
5. Maybelline FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter, 1 oz., $9.99
I love these highlighters! I use both the original, Molton Gold and the Molton Rose Gold. Both highlighters are buildable, meaning that you can achieve a subtle glow or a blinding sheen. It all depends on your application of the product. The highlighter is a soft powder that can be applied with a brush, sponge, or fingertips.
These highlighters work with any skin tone. However, I do think that the Molton Rose Gold looks best on cool skin tones and the Molton Gold is best on warm skin tones. They’re so pretty, though, that I use them interchangeably. Everybody needs a little glow in their life!
I know it’s Monday, so hang in there! Hope today is the best Monday you’ve ever had!
